Labour & Human Resource Department Punjab is established under the Punjab Government Rules of Business, 1974 to Promote the Welfare and Protect the Rights of the Labour Force and Workmen. Promotion of healthy labour management and industrial relations for greater socio-economic progress and development. Lays equal stress on their housing, health, safety, and protection to make them more committed to their work by preventing Child & Bonded Labour from keeping the national and international standards in view. Labour & Human Resource Department with the collaboration of the Punjab Information Technology Board under the ADP scheme titled “Establishment of Job Centers in Punjab Province” established a counter in the premises of GCCI for the development of a comprehensive database pertaining to the data of working human capital (Skilled/ Semi- Skilled/ Unskilled) of the province, linking job seekers & employers, and evaluation of geographical unemployment trends.
